This past weekend, Team Winston-Salem dominated the NC State Rogue Road Race, a 70-mile battle against a stacked field of over 40 top-level cyclists.

Right from the start, Santiago Zapata relentlessly attacked, breaking the field’s legs in the first 20 miles. Other teams later described these opening laps as brutal, with Santiago and the team methodically launching attacks to wear down the competition. The relentless pressure paid off when Santiago and Patrick Rains (Velocious Sport, Team WS’s development team) broke away for good.
