0530 Cycling is one of Winston-Salem’s most storied cycling groups - a crew built on grit, camaraderie, and a relentless love for the ride. Founded in 2011 by brothers Steve and Keith Vest, what began as a few friends rolling out at 5:30 AM has evolved into a dynamic mix of former pros, die-hard enthusiasts, and everyday riders pushing each other to be stronger on and off the bike. Now, 0530 Cycling invites you to discover their favorite routes through the roads they know best.

The Standard Loop is a long-standing route favored by many local cyclists. The 20-mile route is mostly flat, but there are some rolling hills where you can dial up the watts and stomp the pedals when you feel the urge.
